This season, it wouldn’t be fair if we didn’t include the Maccabeats in our top videos.
Haven’t heard of the Maccabeats yet? Somehow, this YU a capella group has become an overnight YouTube sensation with their hit, “Candlelight.” Since it was uploaded on November 26th, it has been seen over 870,000 times. I’m sure by the end of the weekend, they will have over 1 million hits.
I think this qualifies the Maccabeats as the first Hanukkah video to ever truly go viral. 870,000 in a week!!!!! That’s beyond insane.
