Last week we headed to Metro Detroit and the Twin Cities for two Keshet Leadership Project launch events!

The 35 organizations who joined us got a chance to learn about LGBTQ inclusion, and make a commitment to make institutional change in their communities.

In Metro Detroit, working with the local non-profit Stand with Trans and in partnership with the Jewish Communal Leadership Program at the University of Michigan, we met with 50 participants, representing 15 organizations, serving over 10,000 people. In the Twin Cities, in partnership with the Sabes JCC, St. Paul JCC, and JPride, we met with 80 participants, representing 20 organizations, serving nearly 54,000 people.

As part of the Keshet Leadership Project, each of these organizations has made a commitment to spend a year focusing on how to create change in their community in a real and purposeful way. Each organization creates an action plan, and will carry it out over the next year, while Keshet provides them with support and resources.

We are so excited to see how these organizations will put their plans in to action!
