What Is a Sukkah?

The designers of the Sukkah City competition explain the ancient Jewish hut.

What is a sukkah? This year, a competition called Sukkah City asked people to creatively explore the idea of a sukkah–and to reimagine the ancient hut in new, creative ways.

Twelve entries were chosen, and those sukkahs were constructed in a park in the center of New York City.
