Every week, Julie Seltzer, artist and Torah scribe, bakes a challah depicting an aspect of the week's Torah portion.

Today, you are as many as the stars in the sky. (Deuteronomy 1:10)

וְהִנְּכֶם הַיּוֹם, כְּכוֹכְבֵי הַשָּׁמַיִם לָרב

This is the promise made to Abraham back in Genesis--that his descendents will be as numerous as the stars in heaven. Here you see here the colorful sun, moon, and stars.
