Halakhah Think Tank

There are people who will argue with me, but I’ve always thought of halakhah as dynamic. It changes based on place and circumstance, and it is interpreted and reinterpreted by rabbinic authorities and students all over the world. It doesn’t always give us the answers we want, but it’s very much alive, and it’s important and helpful for all Jews to engage with it in a real way.

Luckily, we have the Halakhah Think Tank, a branch of Mechon Hadar and a generally awesome group that this week is sponsoring a day of learning to help all kinds of Jews (and interested non-Jews) begin to see and struggle with the greater concepts of halakhah.
