I don’t know about any of you, but Hanukkah has really crept up on me. Maybe I just expected it to fall over Christmas, or maybe I just put on my winter coat for the first time this past weekend. All I know is, I didn’t expect it to be tomorrow.
That being said, I’m pretty excited. I’m a big fan of Hanukkah. I mean, who isn’t? Presents and good food. That sounds like a good holiday to me.
Now, a couple days ago, we published an article about spicing up your Hanukkah meals by trying out new (and possibly exotic) toppings on your latkes. From mango chutney to pesto, it’s a nice way to change things up a bit.
But that got me thinking. How do you like your latkes? Are you wild and crazy? Or do you just like the classic taste?
Hanukkah
Pronounced: KHAH-nuh-kah, also ha-new-KAH, an eight-day festival commemorating the Maccabees’ victory over the Greeks and subsequent rededication of the temple. Falls in the Hebrew month of Kislev, which usually corresponds with December.
