A couple weeks ago, we noticed on Matisyahu’s website (we read ’em all) that he was coming out with a new song for Hanukkah. We posted the song right away, even before the official music video came out.
That was a mistake.
Why was it a mistake? Because this music video is kind of the craziest thing I’ve ever seen. I’m not even sure what it’s totally about–but I do know that it’s amazing.
The video starts with Matisyahu ice skating with some kids, when all of a sudden, he is knocked over by a guy in a Santa hat. This leads to Matisyahu getting knocked out and having a crazy psychedelic dream–where he dons a Santa suit.
When you’re done watching this video, watch this episode of FX’s Louie where Louie C.K. gets knocked out by laughing gas at the dentist (unless you’re kid. Then go watch Power Rangers). Don’t their psychedelic dreams seem crazy similar or is it just me?
