18 Mouthwatering Grilled Cheese Recipes for Shavuot

Most Jewish holidays have their own food traditions… apples and honey, for Rosh Hashanah, fried food for Hanukkah, fruits and nuts for Tu B’Shvat, Hamentaschen on Purim. Today we mark the start of Shavuot, the holiday where we eat Dairy!

Why do we eat dairy? Well, Moses  received the Torah on top of Mount Sinai on Shavuot.  With their new set of dietary laws in place, the Israelites were unable to put together a proper kosher meat meal, so the celebratory meal consisted of dairy and that’s why we eat dairy!  Here are some more reasons why we eat dairy.

Shavuot has become synonymous with blintzes, bourekas, and cheesecake. But this year, we are forgetting all of that, we’re making our Shavuot more campy with dressed up versions of a camp classic: Grilled Cheese!  When it comes to favorite camp meals, 9 times out of 10, its grilled cheese.  There’s just something about that gooey, cheesy goodness that just takes us back to camp. So here are 18 different ways to make your mouth water this Shavuot with Grilled Cheese!

We dare you to try to make it through this list without drooling.
