Ashrei is a prayer traditionally recited in the early part of the morning service. It is composed of different passages from the Book of Psalms, primarily psalm 145. The prayer praises God’s for being both mighty and a protector who takes care of the righteous. Some congregations recite it in a call and response fashion.
