The Many Facets of Water in the Bible

Hosted By: Haberman Institute

The Greeks thought that water was one of the four elements from which the universe is made. In the Bible, water existed from the moment of creation, and it sustains life, refreshes, and cleanses but, it can also be used to bring devastation and destruction.

In this four-week course we will explore many of early biblical narratives involving water including the water that covered the earth in creation, the Flood, the crossing of the Sea of Reeds and the Jordan, the lack of water in the desert, and laws regarding water.

Join us as we study the many roles water plays in the biblical text and see how many of these facets still apply in today’s world.
