Sephardic Recipes Across America: Sephardic Southwest
Hosted By: Temple Israel of Boston
Many people know about the flavors of the Sephardic diaspora throughout the Mediterranean, but what about here in the USA? Since even before the beginning of the United States there has been a strong Sephardic presence in this part of the world.
In this three-part online series, the Center for Adult Jewish Learning at Temple Israel of Boston will be exploring the delicacies of American Sephardim all over the continental states, learning the history and savoring along the way. This event is co-hosted by the Center for Adult Jewish Learning at Temple Israel of Boston and the Southern Alliance for Jewish Education (SAJE). Join one session, or all three. All are welcome.
Session 3 (Sunday, March 13 at 4:00 p.m. ET) – The Sephardic Southwest
In this last session we will wrap up our time together by travelling to the Southwest, where the long-standing presence of crypto-Jews dating back to the 16th century has had profound influence on the culinary repertoire of that area
