Understanding Antisemitism and Harnessing Your Voice to Confront It
Hosted By: Temple Emanu-El, Haverhill MA
In this workshop, Rabbi Rachel Isaacs, professor of Jewish Studies at Colby College and spiritual leader of Beth Israel Congregation in Waterville, Maine, will discuss the historical roots and contemporary manifestations of antisemitism. Rabbi Isaacs will draw upon her experience as an advocate on campuses and in other settings to present strategies for facing the antisemitism that we all might encounter in our day-to-day lives, working with participants on how to effectively refine and direct one’s personal narrative to confront and address antisemitism in our communities.
