Chasing Art: Stolen Works From The Holocaust

Assisted by the internet, more descendants of Jewish collectors and dealers who were either forced to sell at greatly reduced prices or had their art stolen by the Nazis, are now seeking restitution. Some of those restitutions have become famous, none more so than Gustav Klimt’s Woman in Gold. As they discuss the works that have been restituted or are under investigation, JLearn be viewing and discussing tremendous art from medieval times to works by the most famous modern artists, stolen during the Holocaust.
This is a three-part series that will take place on March 24, March 31, and April 7. The fee covers all three sessions.
