Jewish Perspectives on the Ballot: Key Issues in the U.S. Midterms Using a Rabbinic Lens
Hosted By: The Florence Melton School of Adult Jewish Learning
Emotions are high as we approach the U.S. midterm elections. When we exercise our right to vote, we rely on information from various sources in making our decisions, which may or may not include Jewish wisdom. This series will tackle four contentious topics, looking at how various streams of Jewish thought shed light on these issues. The aim is not to persuade anyone to vote in a particular way but rather to broaden our perspectives around these issues using Jewish lenses. Please join us to explore the challenging topics of gun control, abortion, climate change and civil discourse. With a curious mind and listening ears, we can hear the voices of our tradition still speaking.
