Making of the Soviet Jew: Past, Present, Future

Hosted By: Jewish Study Center

In his 2022 publication The Making of the Soviet Jew Sasha Senderovich showed how the critical events leading to the creation of the Soviet Union produced a new Jewish personage. In this class he explains how later events such as the Holocaust, Soviet antisemitism, the breakup of the Soviet Union and the current brutal war on Ukraine, continue to change the Soviet Jew.
