A Musical, Mystical, and Mouthwatering Indian Tu BiShvat Seder

Hosted By: The Florence Melton School of Adult Jewish Learning

This year, the Melton School of Adult Jewish Learning welcomes award-winning journalist Rahel Musleah to teach participants about Indian-Jewish customs around Tu Bishvat. In this one-time offering, Rahel will teach about the mystical “Tob Shevat” seder based on the kabbalistic book Pri Etz Hadar and about the malida, a ritual of thanks unique to the Bene Israel community of India held on Tu B’Shvat and other occasions. Join us and enjoy spirited and lyrical Baghdadi and Indian-Jewish melodies to enrich your own celebrations.
