The Elul Journey: Preparing For Rosh Hashana Through the Wisdom of Yemima

Hosted By: SVIVAH

What does it mean to “prepare for the High Holidays”?
What is this month of Elul, designated as a time of “teshuva” – traditionally translated as “repentance”?
Can this month be more? An opportunity for introspection, for stillness, for reflection, for acknowledgement of growth, for appreciation of our personal journeys?

Join this two-part series with the fantastic Naama Sadan who will share a new perspective on Elul and preparing for Rosh Hashana through the heart-bending wisdom of Yemima Avital. The “Yemima Method” is a unique spiritual approach combining psychology and feminine kabbalah (Jewish mysticism) that continues to influence thousands.

SVIVAH

SVIVAH’s mission is to empower, strengthen, and nourish Jewish women* through community. SVIVAH is a multigenerational, diverse, powerful collective of Jewish women* dedicated to inspiring, motivating, and celebrating life in sisterhood. In Hebrew, svivah means “to surround her'' and that is precisely our goal. We connect women to each other, to cross-generational wisdom, to Jewish learning, and to the resources we need, in an inclusive, women*-only space. We do this by curating Jewish faith experiences with women at the center, by producing wide-ranging programming, and by amplifying and partnering with organizations in line with our values. (*SVIVAH defines “Jewish woman” as anyone wishing to be included in a circle of Jewish women.)
