Teshuvah: Overcoming the Trance of Unworthiness
Hosted By: Institute for Jewish Spirituality
The month of Elul can be a time when many of us take stock of our missteps and try to make amends. In this process we can fall into crippling cycles of guilt, shame, and self-criticism that block our essential goodness and hinder our capacity to practice teshuvah (returning to the path we’d intended to walk). During this four-day meditation intensive we will learn accessible Jewish meditation practices, sourced in the teachings of Rabbi Nachman of Breslov and contemporary teachers, that can help us overcome the belief in our own unworthiness, change our perceptions of ourselves and others for the better, and enable us to return to a path that’s more aligned with how we want to show up in our lives.
