Standing as One Nation: Honoring Yom Ha’Atzmaut and Yom HaZikaron

Hosted By: The Florence Melton School of Adult Jewish Learning

The Melton community invites participants to join an online ceremony commemorating Yom Hazikaron (Israel’s Memorial Day) and transitioning into Yom HaAtzmaut (Israel’s Independence Day). This 30-minute event, live from Israel and led by Melton’s International Director, will include study and song to honor soldiers who have sacrificed their lives and victims of specific past events while also celebrating the 76th anniversary of the establishment of the State of Israel. The ceremony aims to reflect on mourning, rejoicing, and witnessing the resilience and strength of Israel.
