Free Jewish American Heritage Concert from the Nation’s Capital

Hosted By: The Weitzman National Museum Of American Jewish History

Celebrate Jewish American Heritage Month with a concert at the heart of the Nation’s Capital, showcasing traditional Jewish music from Eastern Europe, Turkey, Cuba, South America, the Levant, and the Arabian Peninsula. The event features performances by Frank London’s Klezmer Brass Allstars, Miami-based singer Susana Behar, and musical leaders Yoni Battat and Yosef Goldman, each bringing unique sounds and stories from their diverse backgrounds. This celebration, available in person and via livestream, invites people of all backgrounds to join a diverse and rhythmic musical journey hosted by the Weitzman National Museum of American Jewish History, the Kennedy Center, and the Recording Academy.

The Weitzman National Museum Of American Jewish History

Established in 1976, and situated on Philadelphia’s Independence Mall, the Weitzman National Museum of American Jewish History is the only museum in the nation dedicated exclusively to exploring and interpreting the American Jewish experience. The Weitzman NMAJH presents educational programs and experiences that preserve, explore, and celebrate the history of Jews in America. Its purpose is to connect Jews more closely to their heritage and to inspire in people of all backgrounds a greater appreciation for the diversity of the American Jewish experience and the freedoms to which Americans aspire.
