The Haberman Institute for Jewish Studies explores sibling-centered stories in the book of Genesis, focusing on the recurring theme of sibling discord depicted in the narratives of the Bible’s earliest families. This examination will trace the theme of divisiveness among “siblings” from these ancient texts to the Jewish people today. The studies will also seek signs of hope for healing and repair within these stories.
