Ruth: A Play in Four Acts

Hosted By: Orange County Jewish Community Scholar Program ("CSP")

The Community Scholar Program presents an exploration of the Book of Ruth, which portrays its narrative with charm and pathos, distinct from traditional biblical teachings of purity and prohibition. The session will explore the multifaceted nature of Ruth, viewing her not only as the generous and devoted figure known from scripture but also discussing the text’s deeper layers and implications. This analysis aims to uncover new perspectives on both Ruth as a character and the text as a beloved piece of literature.
