Temple Emanu-El and the UJA-Federation of New York are hosting a celebration for Israel’s 76th birthday, reflecting on the nation’s triumphs and challenges during a time of adversity. The event features Achinoam Nini, known as Noa, an internationally acclaimed singer who has celebrated Israel through her music for three decades, blending 1960s folk sounds with her Yemenite roots and jazz influences from her musical partner, Gil Dor. They will be joined by special guest Ruslan Sirota, a Grammy-winning jazz pianist.
