Discover the Roots of the Middle East Conflict with Award-Winning Author Oren Kessler
Hosted By: The New York Jewish Week
Join the New York Jewish Week and UJA-Federation New York for a discussion with Oren Kessler, the 2024 winner of the Sami Rohr Prize for Jewish Literature for his book “Palestine 1936: The Great Revolt and the Roots of the Middle East Conflict.” Kessler will be in conversation with Andrew Silow-Carroll, Editor at Large of the New York Jewish Week and Managing Editor for Ideas at JTA. The event will explore the historical roots of the Middle East conflict as detailed in Kessler’s critically acclaimed book, which offers an even-handed narrative of the 1936-1939 Great Arab Revolt in Mandatory Palestine.
