Understanding Genocide: Post-Holocaust Genocides

Open Learning will host a three-part series on genocide in the post-Holocaust era, featuring distinguished scholar Michael Berenbaum. The final session will examine genocides that have occurred since the Holocaust, including those in Rwanda, Bosnia, and Darfur, focusing on their causes, characteristics, and consequences. Participants will explore the roles of ideology, political power, and social dynamics, as well as the international community’s responses, including humanitarian interventions, legal prosecutions, and efforts at prevention and reconciliation.
