Q06
Describe one thing you’d like to achieve by this time next year. Why is this important to you?
The intense focus on death during the holiday period runs the risk of turning morbid. “Who will live, and who will die?” asks the Rosh Hashanah liturgy. “Who by fire, and who by water?”
When we think about death, we think about life, and we think about all the things it’s possible to do with our lives. We start to ask ourselves, what haven’t we done yet–and then we take those questions and, in the next year, we seize the opportunities. It’s the emphatic message of the High Holiday season: We can change. And we can change anything.
