And Malchitzedek, king of Wholeness, brought out wine and bread. (Genesis 14:18)
וּמַלְכִּי-צֶדֶק מֶלֶךְ שָׁלֵם, הוֹצִיא לֶחֶם וָיָיִן
Malchitzedek is called a “Priest of God, most High.” He brings bread and wine and then blesses Abram, and God. Likewise, we sanctify through bread and wine. Here we have challah in the shape of bread, wine, and Malchitzedek.
