Indian Cholent

Ingredients

2 teaspoons salt

water to cover

1/2 bag baby carrots, diced

1 1/2 cups yellow lentils or channa daal

1 teaspoon ground ginger

2-3 pieces chicken on the bone

1 stick cinnamon

4 cloves garlic

1/2 teaspoon cardamom, ground

2 teaspoons turmeric

1 potatoes, diced

1 onions, diced

Directions

Combine all ingredients in a crockpot, cover with water.

Set on low before Shabbat and allow to cook until ready to serve, about 18 hours.
