Over in Madrid right now, Muslims, Christians, and Jews are partaking in a historic interfaith gathering.
Whether any substantive social/theological progress will come out of the conference is still to be seen. But the fact that the gathering is being sponsored by King Abdullah of Saudi Arabia may be significant enough.
Our friend Ari Alexander, co-founder and co-Executive Director of Children of Abraham, an international organization dedicated to the promotion of dialogue between Jewish and Muslim teenagers around the world, is at the gathering and we’re excited to say that he’s agreed to do some impressionistic guest blogging for us via his Blackberry.
We’ll get up his posts as they come in.
