Here is a cool little art project that my brother sent over to me.
The city of Lublin, Poland might best be known by Jews for its Holocaust concentration camp on the outskirts of the city. But Lublin is actually a sizable city in Poland and boasted a large Jewish community before the Holocaust.
Now, 65 years later, Israeli artist Ronen Eidelman has returned to Lublin for his latest project. He has brought back old photographs of the Jews of Lublin and put them up in the exact place where they had originally been taken.
Next to every memorial, there are a list of questions posted in Polish. They include:
Have you always felt different from your friends?
Does your family hide a great mystery/secret?
Does your grandmother mumble in her sleep in a foreign tongue?
What kind of Jew are you?
