Packing for Shabbat at Camp

at camp is magical.  Shabbat at camp means time to relax with friends, guitars, singing, and of course, lots of joy.  Whether it’s a ritual game of frisbee, an awesome song session, or havdallah over the lake, when campers are asked about their favorite parts of camp, Shabbat is often number one.

Just as each camp is unique, each also has their own traditions to separate Shabbat from the rest of the week.  One way many camps do that is by wearing white or getting a bit more dressed up than you do for other days at camp.  (Double check your camp packing list for exactly what you need to be prepared for Shabbat attire at your camp).

So get ready to belt out your favorite Shabbat camp song, perhaps even lead a prayer or a service for the first time. We will get you off to a great start.
