Amanda Kayam Gabel
Amanda Kayam Gabel is the Director of Program Support at the 14th Street Y. Amanda studied Early Childhood Education and Human Development at Wheelock College in Boston, MA where she earned her Bachelor’s degree and became a licensed early childhood educator for students with and without disabilities. She then went on to earn her LMSW from CUNY Silberman School of Social Work at Hunter College. Amanda started working at the 14th Street Y in 2010 as the social work intern when she launched the KOL: Special Needs program as a pilot. Since then, she has continued to be a leading force in creating and implementing supportive programming. Amanda is proud to be part of cultural revolution of inclusion.
