June Fortess

Prior to retiring in 2016, June worked in the field of staff training and development at UJA-Federation for 26 years. In her early career, she served as program coordinator of The Poetry Center of the 92nd Street Y, and director of the literature program of the New York State Council on the Arts. June holds degrees in English Literature, Theater History and Criticism and social work. She is an ordained interfaith minister from One Spirit Interfaith Seminary. Now, she enjoys Central Park, photography, writing memoirs, and hanging out with friends and family.
