MJ Halberstadt
MJ is Keshet's Nice Jewish Boys Boston Coordinator, a playwright, and an education professional. He came to Boston to earn his BA in Theatre Education at Emerson College, and eventually his MFA in Playwriting at Boston University. He worked in Emerson College Undergraduate Admission in roles focusing on recruiting prospective students, managing an alumni volunteer program, organizing on-campus events for guidance counselors, and supporting Performing Arts applicants. He is a founding member of Bridge Repertory Theater, and author of several comic plays that explore complex questions about identity, privilege, and family, including the Elliot Norton Award-winning The Launch Prize. An affiliated faculty member at Emerson College, he lives in Brookline with his husband.
