Milk & Honey (& Scotch) Cocktail

I have gotten so vocal about my love of whiskey that many of my friends show up with a bottle pretty much every time they see me. And while I maintain that drinking is an integral part of any Jewish celebration, I’ve never been convinced that there’s a really Jewish drink out there, other than Manischewitz, which I hate.

Enter Rachel Maddow. And some people from Gothamist, and some big name bartenders. As part of a challenge to find some great Scotch cocktails they came up with this number:

Scotch Zoom:
·    3/4 oz. honey
·    3/4 oz. cream
·    2 oz. Scotch whisky
Shake with ice, and strain into a chilled coupe.

YUM. If Israel was the land of “milk and honey and Scotch” I would make aliyah tonight.

Anyone else have some good Jewish drink recipes they want to share in preparation for Simchat Torah?
