Judaism 101: An Intro to Jewish Life and Practice

A new course from My Jewish Learning

5 online hour-long classes at 12 p.m. ET from Feb. 19 – March 26

Are you looking for an introduction to the basic elements and rituals of Judaism? Want to learn what living a Jewish life actually looks like, in practice? Do you just need a refresher on the big topics that you’ve forgotten from Hebrew school?

No matter your starting point, you’ve come to the right place. My Jewish Learning is excited to announce our first online course on the basics of Jewish life and practice, designed for Jews and newcomers to the religion alike.

Over five weeks, you will learn about the following topics with Rabbi Moishe Steigmann, the founder of Own Your Judaism and a pioneer in online Jewish education:

Judaism’s core beliefs

The meanings behind Shabbat and major holidays

How Jewish values and rituals are performed in a home

The challenges and opportunities of being a contemporary Jew in the United States

How Jewish ethics play out in today’s world

Class will meet for an hour each week, but the learning doesn’t stop there. You’ll receive recordings of each class to rewatch, and you’ll also gain access to our new online community platform — where you can chat and connect with fellow classmates, and ask questions about the course material.

Class starts on Feb. 19! Join today for $72 here.

Classes take place on Feb. 19, Feb. 26, March 5, March 12 and March 26, at 12 p.m. ET. There are no refunds for this course.
