The Jewish mystics teach that each Hebrew month is suited to help us with a particular area of healing in our lives. One may focus on sex, another on anger, communication, or food. Each month also has an array of allies — some physical, some not — to assist us with this work.
In this unique new offering from My Jewish Learning, we invite you to join a community of learners and seekers exploring these teachings about the Hebrew months and harnessing their unique energies to live fuller and deeper lives. Drawing on influences from classical Jewish text in conversation with sources from Buddhism, Traditional Chinese Medicine, astrology, tarot and more, Chodesh Circle members will receive everything they need to attune their practice to the wisdom of these sacred cycles and access their transformative power.
Members of Chodesh Circle will have access to:
- Two live learning sessions each month, on every full and new moon.
- Weekly teachings about the month, guided meditations and other suggestions for practice.
- An exclusive online platform to meet and share with other community members. The online community is a core feature of Chodesh Circle, enabling members to connect with one another, share reflections, ask questions, get support, and much more!
Meet Your Guide:
Rabbi Sarah Bracha Gershuny is a writer, ritualist, musician, healer and teacher. She holds a degree in history from Cambridge University, rabbinical ordination and a master’s in Jewish education from Hebrew College, and was ordained a Hebrew priestess by the Kohenet Hebrew Priestess Institute, a contemporary wisdom school devoted to female expressions of Jewish leadership.
She is the former spiritual leader of Congregation Nevei Kodesh in Boulder, CO, and has taught for My Jewish Learning, the Romemu Yeshiva, Hebrew College Open Circle and others. Rabbi Gershuny is passionate about the wisdom path of the Jewish calendar, and loves to facilitate spaces in which people can connect to deeper parts of themselves and each other.
