120 Jewish Books for Every Age

Hosted By: My Jewish Learning, The Jewish Book Council

Recently, My Jewish Learning offered recommendations for a Jewish book for every age, from birth all the way to 120.

Now, along with the Jewish Book Council, we invite you to discuss our literary picks — and the merits of making such a list — with an all-star group of Jewish authors, whose books appear among our recommendations. Please join:

Eric Kimmel, beloved and award-winning author of the classic children’s book “Hershel and the Hanukkah Goblins,” along with more than 150 other books.

Naomi Ragen, international best-selling author of books that touch on the inner lives of religious women, including “Jephte’s Daughter” and the recent “An Observant Wife.”

Peter Cole, renowned poet, poetry translator, and scholar, whose books include “The Poetry of Kabbalah: Mystical Verse from the Jewish Tradition” and “Sacred Trash: The Lost and Found World of the Cairo Geniza.”

Their conversation will be moderated by Ben Harris, Managing Editor of My Jewish Learning, and introduced by Naomi Firestone-Teeter, Executive Director of the Jewish Book Council.
