Andrzej Ciepliński Plays Jewish Clarinet Masterworks

YIVO will present a rare American recital by a distinguished Warsaw-based clarinetist, featuring Jewish classical music masterworks. The program includes Alexander Krein’s Jewish Sketches, Joseph Achron’s Kindersuite, a newly discovered pre-Holocaust Jewish music collection from Poland, and Sergei Prokofiev’s Overture on Hebrew Themes. The performance will also feature a new work by a YIVO composer and a renowned ensemble of string and piano musicians.
