This special program features Dina Kraft, co-author of the NY Times bestselling book “My Friend Anne Frank: The Inspiring and Heartbreaking Story of Best Friends Torn Apart and Reunited Against All Odds.” The narrative, by the late Hannah Pick-Goslar, recounts her friendship with Anne Frank, their childhood, the trauma of Nazi persecution in Holland, and their harrowing experience at Bergen-Belsen concentration camp. The event includes a discussion on the challenges of teaching Anne Frank’s diary and contemporary Holocaust education, moderated by Andrew Lapin, senior reporter at JTA.
