Biblical Miracles and Beyond…
Hosted By: Haberman Institute
What is a miracle? Who can perform a miracle? And is there a difference between miracles and magic?
Join Haberman Institute for Jewish Studies to discover just how complicated these questions can be! They will explore the answers – many of which have significant theological consequences and reflect a modern understanding of God and God’s relationship with us.
Interestingly, you will quickly find that the Bible never actually uses the word “miracle” to describe events we refer to as such. In this study of miraculous biblical stories, participants will delve into the biblical understanding of such miracles, their purpose, the various categories of miracles, and other related issues and questions.
Please be sure to have a Tanakh (Hebrew Bible in English) available for every class.
