Breaking Out of Personal and Family Patterns of Behavior: Esther as a Model of Growth and Courage
Hosted By: Valley Beit Midrash
Valley Beit Midrash will explore how, according to 20th-century Mussar master Rabbi Eliyahu Dessler, much of our behavior is shaped by past choices, habits, education, and family culture. Patterns of behavior can be passed down from generation to generation, for better or for worse. This session will examine how the Purim and Pesach seasons offer Jewish spiritual technologies for recognizing and overcoming these patterns, with Esther as a model for facing and transforming limiting behaviors on the path toward freedom.
