In 1985, the first volume of Reinharz’s “Chaim Weizmann: The Making of a Zionist Leader” was published. Praise and prizes followed, and in 1993, the second of three planned volumes was released. The highly anticipated third volume came out in Hebrew in 2020 and is forthcoming in English. In this video, the Jewish Review of Books talks with Reinharz about the first president of Israel and his remarkable life.
