Current State of Jewish Journalism

Hosted By: Jewish Study Center

Jewish newspapers and magazines, and now websites and digital newsletters, are an invaluable resource for Jewish communities. Since 1944, the American Jewish Press Association (AJPA) has served as the organized voice of Jewish journalism in the United States, Canada and Israel. AJPA promotes high ethical standards and best practices. It sponsors the annual Simon Rockower Awards for Excellence in Jewish Journalism – considered the “Jewish Pulitzers.” Hear three of its leaders discuss the current state of Jewish journalism, its challenges and its future directions.
