Discovering Kazimierz, Krakow’s Historic Jewish Quarter

Hosted By: The Museum of Jewish Heritage-- A Living Memorial to the Holocaust

Kazimierz, the historic Jewish quarter in Krakow, Poland, is home to significant sites, such as the Tempel Synagogue, the oldest in Krakow, and the Krakow Jewish Community Center, which serves as a vital hub for the city’s resurgent Jewish community. On this livestreamed, virtual tour, the tour guide will take attendees on a journey through time to discover the Jewish heritage of the city through these places, discovering lesser-known gems along the way including the former family home of the famed cosmetics entrepreneur Helena Rubinstein and filming sites from Schindler’s List. The tour guide will also share personal stories about Ukrainian Jewish refugees living in Krakow.
