Faith, Food, and Infamy: The Complete Lower East Side Zoom Tour

Hosted By: The Lower East Side Jewish Conservancy (LESJC)

The Lower East Side Jewish Conservancy will offer a guided tour exploring the neighborhood’s diverse history, from its early days as an affluent suburb to its transformation into a hub for immigrants, including German, Jewish, Puerto Rican, and Chinese communities. Participants will visit historic places of worship, learn about famed eateries, and hear stories of Jewish gangsters and key institutions. Led by a former resident, the tour provides insight into the area’s evolving identity while preserving its rich past.
