Family Treasures Lost & Found

Hosted By: YIVO

The American Jewish Historical Society and the YIVO Institute for Jewish Research will host a film screening of “Family Treasures Lost & Found,” followed by a talkback with filmmakers Karen A. Frenkel and Marcia Rock. The film explores journalist Karen A. Frenkel’s investigation into her parents’ untold WWII stories, uncovering her family’s journey through Europe, Cuba, Mexico, and New York, and revealing the cultural life of prewar Polish Jews. The event will highlight the importance of family history research in preserving memories and understanding the broader history of the Jewish people.
