The Orange County Jewish Community Scholar Program explores the rich history of Jews in Egypt, from their contributions to the country’s political, economic, and cultural life to the community’s decline after the founding of Israel. This presentation includes a virtual tour of Jewish sites in Egypt today. Highlights include what remains of the once-vibrant community and the rededication of the historic Eliahu Hanavi Synagogue in Alexandria.
