This series will explore areas north of Hadera and south of Haifa, considering various issues facing contemporary Israel: urbanization and environment; demographic change; and national identity. The Melton School will look at the singular contribution of the Rothschilds to this area before the State, at events around the War of Independence, and at the impact of development plans on the future of the region.
