GPS For the Soul: Setting Spiritual Direction for the High Holy Days

Hosted By: 18Doors

What if there was a yearly, accessible and wise tradition that could help us chart our year ahead? There is, and we call it Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur!

Join Rabbi Scott Hausman-Weiss over three nights – Wednesdays, August 25, September 1 and 22 from 7:00 to 8:00 PM CDT – to set a spiritual direction for the High Holy Days this year and then to reflect on the holidays after Yom Kippur.

For each session, we’ll be discussing one of three themes: self-reflection, forgiveness and hope. The first two sessions will provide you with GPS coordinates for your spiritual journey. The third session will take place after Yom Kippur and offer us a time to debrief and reflect on our spiritual pursuit during the High Holy Days.

The Limits Of Spirituality

Nadav and Avihu died in an act of sanctification; our goal should be to sanctify God through our lives, not our deaths.

After Death, Holy

We always have the opportunity to rise above our human flaws.
